The Citizen Space is a one-stop counter that brings together various services from different entities, providing access to numerous services from central and local administration as well as private entities. This model allows for better, faster, and more accessible service to citizens, promoting digital literacy through assisted support in the provision of digital public services.
There are hundreds of such spaces in Portugal, located in Citizen Shops and local administration service points, in a constantly expanding network.
The Citizen Spaces network is coordinated by the Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA), serving as a key element in the Government's strategy for administrative modernization and simplification.
